The six peptides

Six peptides are covered. Here is what each one is being studied for.

Research on all six is still early. That’s one more reason they should come through a provider who knows your history and a pharmacy you can verify.

The condition that matters
Every lot of ours has one

A certificate of analysis is how a pharmacy shows identity and purity.

It is the lab report for a specific lot, confirming the peptide is what the label says and checking for contaminants. Every peptide we prescribe comes from a state-licensed 503A pharmacy, and we can show you the certificate for anything you are taking.

The honest read

The headlines are louder than the notice. Here is what changed, and what didn't.

What changed

A narrower path for pharmacies.

Licensed compounding pharmacies can prepare six peptides without facing FDA enforcement.

Each pharmacy must certify the identity and purity of what it makes.

More pharmacies may begin preparing them, so you will see more of them offered.

What didn't

Everything that protects you.

None of the six is an FDA-approved drug. This isn’t approval.

It’s a policy, not a final rule, and it can change.

It applies to these six only. Blends and stacks are separate.

You still need a provider, an evaluation and a prescription.

Where yours come from

The notice asks pharmacies to certify identity and purity. That is the standard behind every peptide we prescribe.

Our providers prescribe, and our peptides come from state-licensed 503A pharmacies. A 503A pharmacy prepares each prescription for one patient and answers to its state pharmacy board. Every lot comes with a certificate of analysis — the lab report confirming the peptide is what the label says and checking for contaminants.

Before you take anything

Peptides are about to be everywhere. Three questions to ask about any of them.

01

Was it made by a licensed compounding pharmacy, for you, with a prescription?

With us, yes
02

Can they show you a certificate of analysis for that lot?

With us, yes
03

Is a provider keeping an eye on how it's going?

With us, yes

Products sold online as “research use only” can't answer yes to any of them.

FAQ

Peptides, the basics. Without the hype.

A short chain of amino acids — the same building blocks that make up proteins. Your body makes thousands of them and uses them as signals, telling cells when to repair, release a hormone or calm inflammation. You already know some: insulin is a peptide hormone, and GLP-1 medications are peptide-based. Some peptide medicines are FDA-approved like those. The six in the recent news are not.

Most are small injections under the skin, because digestion breaks many peptides down. Some come as nasal sprays, creams or capsules. Your provider decides the form, the amount and how long you take it, and many protocols run in cycles with breaks in between.

Like any medication, peptides can have side effects. Tell your provider about anything unusual, store them the way the pharmacy label says, and never take more than prescribed.

The announcement covers six individual peptides. Blends and stacks are a separate matter, and your provider can walk you through your plan.
